IPCA sets up Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) to process solid waste, Plastic Recovery Facilities (PRFs) for plastic waste, and Textile Recovery Facilities (TRFs) for textile waste. Capacities are given in tonnes per day (TPD).
Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs)
- Two MRFs of 2 TPD each, at East Delhi and Greater Noida, along with recycling infrastructure at Greater Noida
- An MRF of 50 TPD in Ghaziabad
- An MRF of 10 TPD in Patiala
- An MRF of 10 TPD of Gurugram
Plastic and Textile Recovery Facilities (PRFs and TRFs)
- A 30 TPD PRF in Greater Noida
- 10 TPD PRF in Patiala
- A 10 TPD PRF in Doda district, Jammu & Kashmir
- A 20 TPD PRF and a 1.5 TPD TRF in Karanaipuducheri, Chennai
